BMV AS needed a swift and cost-effective accommodation solution, to house a number of workers arriving from Eastern Europe to work on the building of new geo-seismic survey vessels.
Bergen Group BMV AS (previously Bergen Mekaniske Verksted AS) provides shipbuilding services covering the construction, design and refitting of ships, barges, offshore installations, and lighters. Bergen Group located in Norway also provide a large range of machining facilities for shipping, offshore, and onshore industry. Their workers needed somewhere to temporarily live comfortably whilst completing their new ship build. We offered them 180 en-suite rooms, with kitchen, canteen, changing rooms, laundry rooms, and day/rec rooms to relax in.
Bibby Bergen offered almost immediate provision of accommodation without the time consuming process of building a new facility, or the cost of using local hotels.
BMV AS originally contracted Bibby Bergen for use throughout January 2014 but were so impressed with the outcome they decided to extend their contract for a further month for February.
