Bibby Marine is proud to support The Animates Project, an inspiring educational initiative that celebrates Liverpool’s rich maritime history while opening doors to the future of our industry.
The Animates is an educational resource designed to be used in primary schools to help young people discover the exciting opportunities that exist within maritime and offshore sectors, while taking a look back at Liverpool’s rich maritime history.
Liverpool has always been a city shaped by the sea – by sharing this heritage with school aged children, The Animates Project not only deepens their understanding of the city, and the sector’s roots, but also sparks curiosity about the modern maritime world and how they may play a role in it in the future.
Bibby Marine CEO Nigel Quinn said: “As part of Bibby Compass, we are committed to creating positive impact in the communities where we live and work. Education is a cornerstone of that commitment – by supporting projects like The Animates, we’re helping to build stronger connections between industry and education, giving young people the tools and inspiration they need to succeed. It’s about creating opportunities, fostering ambition, and ensuring that the maritime sector continues to thrive for generations to come.
“It is these young people who will be the future innovators, who will lead the charge towards a cleaner maritime sector so it’s important to engage them now and inspire them to get involved in a industry that remains vital to our city.”
