We won the innovation award at Mersey Maritime Industry Awards

We are delighted to announce that we won the Innovation award at Mersey Maritime Industry Awards 2021 on 17th September 2021.

Competitors we were up against were Brookes Bell and Peel Ports Group. We won for our work on the Zero-C (carbon) project. The project aims to identify the best alternate fuels to use to decarbonise our vessels and in turn futureproof our fleet. Innovation Engineer Rob Osborne lead the project and was elated to collect the award on stage.

The awards were hosted by TV presenter Louise Minchin and the Innovation Award sponsored by Royal HaskoningDHV. The event was held at Anfield in the fuction rooms, where the awards were followed by a dinner and winners afterparty in the city centre (which of course we attended!)

In similar news we have won a grant from the Department For Transport, in collaboration with Expleo and Houlder. It will help fund a new-build vessel concept design, which will be optimised to deliver zero-emission operations, using the research from our Zero-C project. More to follow on this news.

Well done to Rob and the wider Bibby Marine team on the win.
